HALEY & STEVE

REAL WEDDING
SHRIVENHAM MEMORIAL HALL

Hayley first enquired about her wedding cake back in Aug 2018. We then met up for her first consultation where we sat and discussed what vision she had for her wedding cake. Hayley was very keen to have elements of her beautiful wedding dress incorporated on to her cake. I was very excited to be able to create this beautiful 3 tiered wedding cake for her.

Hayley and Steve decided on 3 different flavours for their cake. The bottom tier was a salted caramel cake with a home-made caramel filling and salted caramel buttercream then covered with a white chocolate ganache.

The second tier was a vanilla sponge with a white chocolate ganache and raspberry filling.

The top tier was a deliciously zesty lemon sponge with a lemon curd and lemon buttercream filling wrapped in a white chocolate ganache. All three tiers where then covered in a silky smooth soft white fondant.

The hand painted pearl white lustre design on the 1st and 3rd tiers was inspired by the bride's wedding dress.

We delivered the cake early on the morning of the 4th. It was such a beautiful sunny morning. We arrived and the hall had been turned into the most beautiful setting for their wedding reception.

Although their wedding wasn't a themed wedding they were aware that the date was indeed the 4th May (May the 4th be with you! ) so why not have this marked with a light saber match, so much fun as you can see from the photos. Some images courtesy of Lee Hawley Photography.

It really was an absolute pleasure working with the couple and to be a part of their special day.

I was thrilled to later receive a wonderful testimonial from the couple who were delighted with their cake saying...

"Sharon made our wedding cake and what a fantastic job she did. From when we first met to the end process, she made it easy, listened to what I wanted and produced a stunning cake that exceeded my expectations. The flavours were out of this world and we had so many compliments. I will certainly be using Sharon for all future cakes and highly recommend others to use her too."
